Mason Pearson, an inventor/engineer from Yorkshire, came up with the concept for the first rubber cushioned hairbrush in 1885. To this day the design has changed very little. The brushes are still made by hand with the utmost care. The cellulose plastic handles are hand-polished for a comfortable hold and are still based on the original wooden design. The company has developed its own special nylon and particular care is taken in the selection of natural bristles in order to use the best combination for each brush
The unique rubber-cushion pad and natural bristles are kind to hair whilst massaging the scalp. Regular brushing will give shiny, healthy, manageable hair.
